DevLog 1. Multiplayer and procedural generation
Hey, everyone!
I want to share brief update about the game.
I've been implementing several game engine mechanics and I'm happy to share the result.
Also, I am pleased to announce that two talented people have joined me as part of the development team, and I am excitedly waiting for the moment we release "DAY OFF"!
1. We analyzed the feedback and reaction of the public on YouTube, compared our desires and gaming preferences and came to the conclusion you all loved the atmosphere and vibes of our game (demo). Neat!
Some of you also brought the topic of multiplayer and coop play, that it would be awesome to shoot zombies (it's always pleasing, eh?) and solve some puzzles with your friends.
Excited to share the demo version of multiplayer coop mechanics, which I was implementing for the past two months:
We plan to develop several characters from which you would be able to choose your favourite.
2.Procedural level generation. Yes, for coop multiplayer we'll be making some levels that are procedurally generated so that you can have all kinds of experiences in game.
(Some of the content will still be pre-defined, because there's a story to tell!)
3. We are paying much more attention to in game quests and tasks.
In each session there will be several tasks that you need to complete in order to complete the mission. The list of tasks will also be different each attempt.
Ideally, each try will be unique.
4. Our 2D artist took over some of the duties of a level designer, freeing up time for programming. This is great and we have already redrawn some of the locations that we have.
They turned out very cool!!!
Thanks again for all of your feedback.
